Last nights dinner

Last night’s dinner looked like this

Love me some carbs. Nothing like carbing up for the half marathon this weekend!

Q: have you ever had spinach with cottage cheese? I’ve been told that’s a weird combination!

Breakfast

Almond butter was not very runny like I like my butter to be so I tried the peanut butter and it was exactly opposite! This bagel was oozing out all over when I stuck the two sides together. I had to walk to class sticking it away from me while eating so it dripped on the ground. I bet the birds loved that! 🙂

I found me a nice bench by this lovely bush outside. I have an hour between classes and I like to go to my last class and read the chapter before it starts. So here I am reading. It was too cold in the building so I went out to enjoy the weather!

Lunch

Fried green beans and double deli grill sandwich. At least I’m eating green beans? I think I might like them even if they weren’t fried, as long as they were fresh ones and not out of the can (ew) and were made soft like these.

OH and I just wanted to say that I normally don’t look this absurd, but I just skipped rocks for the first time and was really excited!!

But really Alex said “Jump up and down and be excited” because he missed the actual expression I had after skipping rocks. hah

Good and Bad News

Challenge

I forgot to add in my post about my challenge yesterday. So here it is!

Water: 24 oz water, 32 oz powerade, 8 oz gatorade, 16 oz orange juice
Core: 100 cent core again
Stretching: Alex helped me with my stretches. We did ankles and hamstrings. I have pictures from the ankles where we used therabands.

This morning

Unfortunately I did not get the RA job I was really hoping for. But my friend Lanie said that of the 7 people she knew that applied, only 1 got a position. Apparently there were 80 of us new comers and 70 RA’s that were returning and only 90 RA positions available. So it was a slim pickin’s. I’ll try again next year and just have to look at the positives from this.

Positive: I’ll be able to celebrate my birthday at home
Positive: I’ll be able to focus on my studies and running
Positive: Will have more summer time at home

Of course there are many negatives to not getting the position, but we won’t focus on those!!

Running

Had 6 miles to run. My friend Megan ran 3 miles with me. We ran really slow and easy because she is recovering from an injury. Then the last 3 I ran solo.

News

So I will be going to Disney World for the first time!!  Anyone have any suggestions on what we must do? I’m going with my parents and brother. It’s going to be so much fun!!
