help!!

Okay, I need help. What kind of oat’s do you use for your oatmeal?! I tried to make some oatmeal in the microwave and it was a total fail and did not taste good no matter what I added to it. 😦

I ended up having another handful of trader joes cinnamon almond and a banana instead.

Then for lunch I had a double deli sandwich that consisted of turkey and ham as well as american cheese.

and of course cheesy tots!!!

Then I did a 6.8 mile run. Was going to be 7.5 but I had major chest pains and had to walk. 😦

mile 1: 8:10
mile 2: 8:38
mile 3: 8:11
mile 4: 8:31
mile 5: 8:41
mile 6: 8:50
mile 6.8: 7:08

While we talk about running, the pictures from Saturday’s race are up!!

Then dinner was chicken and fries.

Review time!!!!

So Chobani was nice enough to send me some flavors to review!!! I tried the Strawberry and then the Pineapple!

Okay guys, I absolutely loved the strawberry!! It was so perfect in texture and taste. I thought I wouldn’t like greek yogurt because I tried some before of a different brand and it was way too thick, but Chobani makes it so tasty and just the right texture! The strawberry was not too sweet and not bland. Also there wasn’t an overpowerment of fruit, which is good because I’m more a fan of blended yogurts and don’t like chunks in my yogurt.

The pineapple however, I did not like so much.

I’m a big pineapple fan and never heard of it in yogurt so I wanted to try that first as well. Definitely was not as good as I expected. There weren’t many chunks which was good, but the taste was just not right. I couldn’t put my finger tastebuds on it though. I guess maybe it was just too overpowering in taste. Maybe I just didn’t like the pineapple and yogurt together. I’m not sure!

Tomorrow I will probably be reviewing the raspberry and possibly another flavor!

The reason why I had two was because Alex (BF) wanted to try as well. So we each had one and shared. We both love yogurt and he also liked the strawberry but said the pineapple was too sweet and just tasted odd.

Hope you all are having a good day!!

I use just old fashioned plain oats.. I never use the microwave though.. making them on the stove is so much better! I use 1/2 cup oats + a little less than 1 cup water and cook until creamy.. then stir in cinnamon and peanut butter! SO GOOD.

I usually eat the 1/2c. old fashioned oats mixed with 1c. of water cooked in the microwave for about 1:45. I think most people cook theirs longer though, but I like mine chewier. If I add banana or pumpkin I stir it in halfway through cooking, but if I add an apple I cook it with the oats from the beginning. Also, how did you get Chobani to send you samples?
