Happy Easter!!! Now for a recap!!
Friday
Breakfast
Ate me some Cap’N Crunch Oops All Berries. So delicious
Running
Was supposed to do a 3 mile progressive and one mile cool down/warmup but my knee hurt so bad as well as my legs that I just did the progressive but it wasn’t even a progressive because I had to stop multiple times
3.5 miles in 26:22 @ 7:32 pace
| mileage | time |
| mile 1 | 7:34 |
| mile 2 | 7:32 |
| mile 3 | 7:36 |
| mile 3.5 | 3:38 |
Lunch
Went to the Pasta House and had the WORST service ever!! We won’t be going back for awhile. We get seated and it’s not busy at all. After minutes and minutes of waiting a server finally comes over and has this big lecture on how our “supposed” to be server was busy in the back and he didn’t want us to wait longer so he will get our drinks. He then comes back with our drinks and we order an appetizer and our food through him. We wait and wait and our food comes out a long time later and we are wondering where our appetizer was. Our food was delivered by another waitress and she said our other server Bryce was leaving and she would now be our server. (3 servers, are you keeping track?) We ask if we can get our appetizer and she brings it out in a second, so who knows how long it was sitting there since it was just cheesy garlic bread!! Then we are without refills for the longest time. Let’s just say no tip was given and even if we wanted to leave a tip who would it have gone to? Which one of our 3 servers? I also wrote them a letter on the top of the receipt saying “Horrible service, won’t be coming back anytime soon.”
At least the food was good?
Rolls to start off with
Yummy tortellini for me!! With prosciutto. So yummy!
Our cheesy garlic bread. I just had one little slice. Alex ate the rest
Dinner
Leftovers for dinner
It looked better the first time! haha
Saturday
Breakfast
Cap’N Crunch Oops all Berries mixed with original Puffins
The puffins got extremely soggy in just a few seconds! Definitely not sure I’ll be eating them again with milk.
Track Meet
Alex had a home track meet and I was so excited to be able to watch!! I love watching him run, especially outdoor track. He ran the 1500m and got 4:05. Last weekend he ran 4:02, so it was a bit slower but still good!!
Lunch
lunch was snacking at the track meet.
String cheese and then lots of unpictured fruit and banana bread muffins my dad made! We ate them all!!
Running
Ran Alex’s cooldown with him, well part of it. Had extreme pain in my legs so I had to stop after 2 miles. Hope it gets better because I have my half marathon in a week!
2 miles in 17:02 @ 8:31 pace
| mileage | time |
| mile 1 | 9:02 |
| mile 2 | 8:00 |
Dinner
We went to El Acapulco in town!! It’s the greatest Mexican Restaurant here! Alex loved it and we got dinner for $20 with the tip. Appetizers are half price too everyday from 4-7. We got there right at 6:50!
I got a beef burrito, rice and an unpictured quesadilla for $6.49! And ate lots and lots of chips!
Q: Have your puffins gotten extremely soggy in a short time?
Would you like a weekend recap? Good.

Saturday
Breakfast
Delicious Quaker Oatmeal Squares. The cinnamon flavor!!
This was my first time trying the oatmeal squares. I’ve seen them around a lot and thought they’ve always looked good. Well now I know that they taste just as good!
Yurbuds
I went to check out the Yurbuds kiosk in the mall around lunchtime and got to try out the product. I want to say right now that if you have not tried out these earbuds then you have to rush out and do so! They are guaranteed not to fall out of your ears and I have ran with them twice so far. I took them on my 4 mile progressive run where I was running extremely fast and they didn’t even move then I ran with them on the treadmill for 3 miles and usually headphones fall out of my ears more on the treadmill than the road and they still stayed!! Check them out
They are also trying to help raise $1 million dollars for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and are going to donate $10 from your purchase to the foundation!
Running
Had to do my 4 mile progressive run, but I was more excited to do the run so I could try out the yurbuds in action!
4 miles in 20:10 @ 7:32 pace
| mileage | time |
| mile 1 | 7:49 |
| mile 2 | 7:51 |
| mile 3 | 7:08 |
| mile 4 | 7:20 |
Dinner
yummy spaghetti with meat sauce for dinner!! And a piece of garlic bread, but i ate it before the picture could be taken!
Blindside
Watched Blindside with the family. I love this movie. It was my second time seeing it and still amazed me. So funny and a must see. But you can make your own decision to see it!
Sunday
Came back to school and was not happy about that.
The drive home was really nice. Good music was on the radio and new songs actually. The weather was great. I got back to school and hit up the grocery store to get something for dinner and grab milk. I bought ravioli, easy mac and milk.
Once I got to my dorm I had to make 2 trips from my car of which I had to park far away to bring in all of my stuff.
Running
Unpacked a few things and went to the rec center to do my 3 miles on the treadmill. I was supposed to do my 9 mile long run but since it was already dark out I am doing that today and switched my workouts for the day.
Once The Amazing Race came on the TV I started cruising on the treadmill and it made the time pass so much faster even though it was difficult running and reading subtitles that sometimes didn’t make any sense haha.
3 miles in 25:21 @ 8:27 pace
The time was probably faster because the treadmill starts counting before you even get up to speed and start running.
First Green Monster
I came back and did my first attempt at a green monster
1 cup milk
2 cups spinach
1 whole banana
4 small frozen strawberries
4 frozen pineapple chunks
Definitely had too much banana but was still good. Next time I want to use a juice instead of milk to get more fruit flavor.
Dinner
With my green monster I had the Full Circle ravioli I picked up at the store for $0.89.
Wish the ravioli would’ve been meat filling instead of cheese. They weren’t very good but I still ate most of it. However I was still hungry so I had some combo crackers.
You can never go wrong with Combo’s!
Then I just waited for alex to get back from the Alabama relays!
Q: How was your weekend?

Friday
My dad went in early to work so I had a brunch.
Doesn’t it look like a face? hah funny.
I took some of his trail mix!
So yummy. Most of the trail mix comes from Whole Foods and some from Costco all mixed together in pure yumminess!
Running
Originally I was supposed to do a 4 mile progressive run. But I had a bad nights sleep and was really sore. Saturday I had a 3 mile planned, so I compromised and did a 3 mile progressive run.
Running outfit:
3 miles in 22:30 @ 7:30 pace
| Mileage | Time |
| mile 1 | 8:04 |
| mile 2 | 7:30 |
| mile 3 | 6:56 |
Then of course ice time!!
Then I headed over to Alex’s house and we went to Maggiano’s Little Italy for dinner and ordered family style.
Appetizers:
Spinach Dip
Cheesy Garlic Bread
Salads:
Chopped
Spinach
Pastas:
Chicken Pesto Linguini
Chicken and Truffle Tortellaci
It was very delicious as always!
We then went back to his house and watched Music and Lyrics, which he has never seen!!
Saturday
Woke up and went to breakfast with Alex, his grandma Henthorn and his brother Zack. We went to Ihop and I ordered the Chocolate Chip Pancakes. Next time I am ordering the kids size because 4 pancakes were wayyyyyy too much!
times 4!!!! Yeah, awful.
Then we went to REI and I picked up my first pair of padded bike shorts!! We also walked around and dreamt of all the wonderful things we would buy if we had the money. Yeah, it was fun!!
Then we went back to my house and hung out with my parents and the furball aka graham our dog.
We had to do a run. I had to do 4 miles easy. So I went without my garmin!! I figured I’d take it real easy if I didn’t know my time or pace. WRONG! I went faster than 35 minutes because it took me a total of 35 minutes and I stopped to tie my shoe twice and had to stop at tons of lights.
It was a sad night because KU lost
I don’t even want to talk about it.
But dinner was great!! My mom’s Italian Meatloaf, some perogies (pasta stuffed with mashed potatoes), and garlic bread.
It was delicious!!! Then Alex, my parents and I played bowling on the Wii.
Alex left and then my parents and I played some Wii. I love playing games with them. I just loved being home.
Sunday
Then today I had to head back to cape. BOOO HOOOO!!!
My parents were kind enough to drive me to Alex’s house because I had left my car there and he was going to pick me up at my house in the car but I forgot to give him my keys. DUH! I can be so forgetful.
My dad helped us pack and then Alex and I were off!
Lunch was Jack n the Box. I ordered 2 tacos and a chicken sandwich.
We got back and it was pouring cats and dogs!! More like worms really hahaha.
So I did a dreaded 60 minutes on the treadmill. I was supposed to do 9 miles but there was no way I could go any longer, my legs hurt so bad. So I did 7 miles.
Dinner was olive’s pepperoni pizza fold.
So now you are caught up on the weekend!!
